2023 Chevy Silverado HD Anxiously Awaits Spring Thaw With Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto

Even though we are fully aware that trucks are just as capable during the tough winter months, we still are quite anxious about the coming of spring here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis! The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD is on track to be just as awesome as our entire rig line has been for decades, with new features that build on its already long-lasting and durable character. The GM Authority blog just announced that this model will now include Wireless Phone Projection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard across all trim levels.
All Work Truck and Custom trim levels of the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD are now equipped with the Chevy Infotainment 3 system, and also have a 7-inch touchscreen. The LT, LTZ, and range-topping High Country trims are outfitted with the Chevy Infotainment 3 Premium system, with Google already built in and ready to fetch the next fast food joint or job site for ya! All these turn levels also come standard with a 13.4-inch touchscreen and are part of the truck’s mid-cycle refresh.
The 2024 Chevy HD also boasts a revised front fascia and new headlights for a modern and more aggressive look, along with a fully overhauled cockpit for LT, LTZ, and High Country trims. There’s also a brand-new 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and new center stack, with the 13.4-inch touchscreen as its base of operations. Automatic Emergency Braking is now equipped as standard across all trim levels, and Adaptive Cruise Control can be included as a standalone option or part of other packages to heap on the extra goodness depending on trim variety.
The Z71 Off-Road Package will be available for the Custom trim for the first time, with Sport Editions and Chrome Sport Edition appearance packages also back for the 2024 year. New tire and wheel options for the special editions include 20-inch off-road tires, along with 18-inch polished aluminum dual wheels with all-terrain tires up for grabs on the 3500 LTZ and coming as standard on the 3500 High Country. Adding to the luxe factor that has become in much higher demand over the past few years is a new Nightshift Blue interior with Jet Black and Umber design accents.
Other details that you don’t want to miss that sweeten up the High Country’s already legendary stance are fabric piping on the seats and door panels, and authentic open-pore wood trim accents on the upper glove box and doors. There are also standard tow hooks, nomenclature gracing the hood scoop, and six new color choices. You can cruise in the eye-catching addition of a polished hue with Sterling Gray, Dark Ash, Radiant Red, Auburn Metallic, Lakeshore Blue Metallic, and Meteorite Metallic rounding out all of these excellent updates.
The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD made its official debut on September 29 at the State Fair of Texas, with production beginning last month at GM’s Flint Assembly in Michigan. The gas engine heavy-duty model boasts 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, with the Duramax 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 bringing 470 horsepower and 975 lb-ft of torque to the world-class workbench!
