“Tornado Boy” Swept up by Texas Twister to be Gifted 2022 Truck From Generous Lone Star Dealer

Everyone here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis will agree that surviving a dangerous Texas Twister is a storyline that will always make for a thrilling and memorable commercial. As we head directly into storm season nationwide, there have been reports of inclement weather that are downright scary for everyone, and 16-yr old Riley Leon was the lucky recipient of a brand-new 2022 red Chevy Silverado after enduring a very frightening event where he was flipped on his side by the forces of nature!

Leon was behind the wheel of his 2004 model last week when a very powerful tornado hit his truck. An amazing video shot by a prominent storm chaser went viral, and this lucky truck-loving survivor has even done interviews on ABC’s “Good Morning America” among other syndicated programs. He was just doing what many teens are doing this time of year, returning from a job interview at a local Whataburger when the tornado flipped his truck violently onto its right side, and then was spun around 360 degrees and nearly thrown into a ditch.

He luckily got by with just a few scratches on his left arm. A Fort Worth dealer was so impressed by his handling of the vehicle and composure that they gave him what was most definitely one of the biggest items on his wish list: a 2022 Silverado! With a long cabin providing excellent legroom, several available powertrains for various towing and hauling needs, many in-bed tie-down points and massive bed capacity, and a simple-to-use and attractive touchscreen, this truck is seeing itself arrive in capable and deserving hands!

This year’s model boasts refreshed exterior styling, including a new front fascia, and the brand-new off-road Silverado 1500 ZR2. The semi-automated Super Cruise technology is now available, and its enhanced interior along with a more powerful diesel engine offers class-leading features that buyers now want in a truck. There is also a redesigned center console, and open-pore wood and stainless-steel speaker grilles on the top-tier LTZ and High Country models. Riley will also surely enjoy a 9,600-lb tow rating, with a 13,300-lb rating to boast about after the addition of the max towing package.

The Trail Boss model in the lineup is the wicked and warrior-stanced ZR2, which combines off-road ability with massive V8 power, and comes complete with wildly capable DSSV shocks and 33-inch off-road MT tires. You’ll also be conquering the many demands of the trail with a unique skid plate package as well as a high-approach steel front bumper that drastically improves the truck’s chops to dominate the demands of the great outdoors.
