Chevy Silverado Wins Over Valuable 18 to 34 Crowd With Class-Leading Design, All-Around Chiseled Chops

Now in its third year of the fourth generation release here at Jim Butler of St Louis, the Chevy Silverado 1500 light-duty pickup possesses styling that stands out massively above what was available during previous releases. GM Authority laid out last week that one of the most popular reasons to buy the Silverado is currently the new and improved styling, hitting a thoroughly home run with the coveted 18 to 34 demographic.

The Silverado and its close relative in the form of the GMC Sierra outsold the Ford F-Series by nearly 60,000 units during the year, as those looking for a solid work and family truck stepped up to the most ideal and capable selection. Some of the most exciting news we were alerted to this year was the development of an electric model planned for launch by 2025, slated to be built at the GM Factory Zero plant next to the tough-terrain-ready GMC Hummer EV pickup and SUV.

This year also saw the introduction of the Multi-Flex tailgate, offering six groundbreaking functions that make loading, unloading, and hauling the precious toys out to the lake much easier. It’s not just this young and agile age group that is fully enjoying the increased trailering capability on the 2.7L Turbo and 3.0-Liter Duramax turbo-diesel engines, which include up to 9,600-lb. Max trailering with the 2.7-Liter on a new 2WD regular-cab/long box configuration. Adaptive Ride Control is now available on High Country models, and buyers can opt to ideally customize their rig with the Lone-Star studded Texas Edition Plus or brand-new LTZ Premium Texas Edition.

The extra-long cabin in the 2021 Silverado 1500 provides excellent rear legroom, a massively useful bed capacity, and an easy-to-use touchscreen display. One great reason to check out the top trim levels everyone is packing up their camping gear for and getting so excited about this year is the adaptive suspension option, smoothing out every imperfection and uneven patch of road you may come across. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, and many buyers immediately fall in love with the 5.3-liter V8 boasting the standard 3.23 axle gearing.

Primed for the things we love most about summer like spur-of-the moment fishing trips and getting away from the demands of the cubicle in a hurry, the commanding view of the road, ample towing power, and rugged capability will quickly put a smile on your face! If you are planning on putting in a hefty amount of miles with your loved ones in tow safety and security will be of huge concern, and the available Safety package offers parking sensors and a state-of-the-art blind-spot monitor system with rear-cross traffic alert. Even snagging up the base-level work truck allows for daily enjoyment of a locking tailgate, vinyl upholstery, a 7-inch touchscreen and a six-speaker audio system.
