Two special 2014 Chevrolet Silverado concepts made their debut at the State Fair of Texas recently. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Volunteer Firefighter Concept and Silverado Black Ops Concept showed off the possibilities of the full-size pickups.

The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Volunteer Firefighter Concept honors first responder volunteer firefighters. With input from the National Volunteer Fire Council, the 2014 Silverado Z71 Double Cab was transformed into a custom rescue vehicle.

The Volunteer Firefighter Concept has a red and silver paint job with custom decals, 22-inch alloy wheels, chrome step bars, a hood protector, corner step rear bumper, and bed rails. The 2014 Silverado also features a roof light bar and LED perimeter lighting, siren and PA system, tool box, chrome fire extinguishers, an axe and Halligan tool.

The 2nd concept pickup, the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Black Ops Concept, is built to handle any weather including hurricanes and other emergency situations. The Silverado Crew Cab 4×4 comes equipped with custom body armor, LED spot lights and integrated tow hooks.

The 2014 Chevy Silverado Black Ops Concept provides a Truck Vault storage unit in the bed which holds everything you may need in case of any emergency. This includes a solar power pack, gas masks, gloves, a military First Aid Kit, folding shovel and rope. Above the storage unit you will find a generator, fuel and water cans, and a crate of food.

Maybe we will see a similar 2014 Silverado in St. Louis at Jim Butler Chevrolet in the Future! Don’t forget to checkout our Silverado inventory and schedule a test drive today!
